Creating a bookmark on the Bookmark bar
You can create bookmarks from the Designer menu or by using drag and drop.

To create a bookmark using drag and drop

For easy access to application and databases you use frequently, you can drag and drop these items to the Bookmark bar or to a folder on the Bookmark bar:


To create a database bookmark from the Designer menu bar

1. Choose File - Database - Open.

2. Select the database you want to bookmark.

3. Click Bookmark.

4. Do one of the following in the "Add to" dialog box:

5. Click OK. You can access the database by clicking the icon on the Bookmark bar or folder.

To manage your bookmarks and bookmark folders

Once you've created your bookmarks, you can work with them in the following ways:

Remove a bookmark or bookmark folderRight-click on the bookmark or bookmark folder and select "Remove Bookmark" or "Remove Folder."

Note When you remove a bookmark folder, you also remove all of the bookmarks in the folder.

Rename a bookmark or bookmark folder
  1. Right-click on the bookmark or bookmark folder and select "Rename Bookmark" or "Rename Folder."
  2. Type the new name for the bookmark or bookmark folder.
Change the bookmark icon size on the Bookmark bar
  1. Choose File - Preferences - User Preferences.
  2. Click Basics.
  3. Under Display Options, choose a size from the "Bookmark icon size" list.
  4. Restart Designer to see your changes.
Change the bookmark icon color scheme on the Bookmark bar
  1. Choose File - Preferences - User Preferences.
  2. Click Basics.
  3. Under Display Options, choose a color scheme in the "Icon color scheme" list.
  4. Restart Designer to see your changes.
Change a bookmark icon or a Bookmark folder icon
  1. Right-click on the bookmark or bookmark folder and select "Change Bookmark Icon" or Change Folder Icon."
  2. Select an icon from the list of available options in the "Insert Image Resource" dialog box.
